Splatterfest from Brazil.Our new interview with Offal.

Firstly hi to everyone! Thanks for accepting our interview request.

1.You did a cleaner recorded album in the name of old skull death metal compared to the new congeneric comers from us or europe. How were the reactions off the album?

André: Wohhh, people are really enjoying the newest full-length album! We’re starting to get the reviews about it and it’s being great! New stuff is a bit different from the previous one and most people comment about it as an evolution or something else but others keep enjoying the early stuff too, so… at all we’re very satisfied that how the things are going!

2.Where did the recording take place and how long did it take ? Did you had any difficulties during record session ?

Tersis: The recording process take place on AvantGarde Studio (Curitiba/PR - Brazil) from March to November/2009. I think time was something that has brought some difficulties to us: at that time, everyone was so busy with personal and professional life... as you can see in our website, after we recorded the drums, it took some months ‘till we could record the strings. As always, drums requires hours of laborious adjustments (cleaning up, equalizing, snapping beats with metronome). We recorded 10 videos of the whole recording process. 3.I found the lyrics and cover art quite successful and even more lp inlay photo made me pleased (VHS tapes and pop corns). What at most do you give value on your horror movie influenced songs ? Whom belongs the cover art ?

Tersis: Thank you for the comment... that’s the life of a beer addicted splatstick gore movie lover, hehe. We created this scenario in our minds a long time ago and it fits perfectly with the album context. I think we’re always trying to get this old atmosphere, from Death Metal roots and somehow to connect these concepts with the horror aesthetics. The composition process is actually an immersion process where our minds are focused in the concept to be represented.

4.I think lyrics on one of the song on your album has written by Elektrokutioner. How did you contact with him ?

André: First time I get in touch with him was almost two years ago when I purchase some stuff of his several bands but who recommended him to do that lyrics for us was our friend Billy Nocera of RAZORBACK RECORDS/SCAREMAKER. When I asked him about who could help us with some great horror lyrics he said to get in touch with Wayne, so I did. I told him about what we want and he did two awesome lyrics for us for Feast for the Dead and Onslaught of Dismemberment songs. We hope to work with him again for some future releases, sure! Try to check all his bands but especially TOMBSTONES with the wizard of gore Stevo do Caixão, ARGHHH!

5.Not so long time ago, you released a split with Decrepitaph, which is a band of many bands of Elektrokutioner. I haven’t yet listen to it. As for sound is it close to your second album ?

André: Sure, the tracks on this release as our split 7”ep with ANATOMIA are from the same studio sessions of Macabre Rampages And Splatter Savages, more creepy, horrific and disturbing Old-skull Death Metal from the grave, check it! Orders: www.grindblockrecords.com

6.Will there ever be any gig or a tour plan in near future?

Tersis: We have some gigs planned on the next months. These gigs will take place in our hometown and some other cities at some nearly states. We are looking forward to play more “live” gigs this year especially at some places where we haven’t played before!

7.Trial of the Undead clip is indeed greatly done. I think if it ever participates in a festival, it could get a good degree.

Tersis: Thank you. The work-team had only a week to organize and to produce all the stuff needed for the video clip recordings. It was very intense, since the beginning. The video clip was higly inspired on a huge amount of zombie’s flix, especially on Fulci’s cult one Zombie, where the lyrics got the main inspiration. We got a very special response about our 1st official video-clip, when it was published we would like to do 500 views or few more in a year and after only nine months we did more than 3.300 views since it was published, great! 8.The Medleys you did are quite well done, I especially loved the Autopsy one. Hail Autopsy Hail Chris Reifert. How did this idea get a life ?

André: On our early rehearsals we used to play several covers for several bands including IRON MAIDEN, DEATH, DESTRUCTION, SODOM, MERCYFUL FATE, SARCÓFAGO, NAPALM DEATH and of course AUTOPSY! That time we have played three or four AUTOPSY’s full songs, so the original band founder Daniel Azevedo (nowadays on IMPERIOUS MALEVOLENCE and AXECUTER) had the idea to do a medley featuring just a part of the whole AUTOPSY’s trax we played, so… the result couldn’t be better and it was the best way to homage our greatest influence ever! This medley is a constant name on our live set list, moshers got insane when we play it! HAIL MASTERS!

9.There are many instrumental songs taking place on your last album. But there is a special one form e Deep Red - The Blood Is Running Cold. Quite a nice idea. How did this happen to come out ?

André: Well, I’m always trying to get the sound tracks of some cult horror flix I’ve enjoyed, it’s not easy to find at all but… when I got to listen that Deep Red’s sound track I think that would be great to do a Death Metal version of some track of that mighty Goblin’s soundtrack, so… I said to Tersis about this plan, he enjoyed the idea and so we choose the track! He did the whole work on it, making the version for the original one and we got really surprised with the final result, awesome! Many people comment about it and ask us if we’ll do another soundtrack song but we still didn’t know what will be, we’ll choose it only when we start to work on some new stuff for a possible 3rd full-length CD, 2012 or later!

10.On early days of the band, I see improvements and changes in a good way. Can you tell us about those early days a bit ?

André: We started just as a project between some good friends, we hadn’t any big plans or pretensions that time: we just did some songs (most are on our 1st full-length CD) and we spent most time playing covers! So, when we got the chance to record that trax, we’ve asked for ourselves, why not? So we did and… only after almost a year we started to send it to some friends and on this way we got the invite of our great friend Renzo to put it out thru his label The Hole Productions! He was just starting the label that time and our 1st s/t CD was his 001 release, just great!

11.From which bands do you take inspiration ?

Andre: Wohhh, I really couldn’t answer to it, tons of bands could be considered an inspiration for us but AUTOPSY and IMPETIGO are the greatest ones for sure!

12.Recent bands you actually are interested of ?

Andre: Well, I’m currently listening a lot to Hooded Menace, Undergang, Grave Ritual, Burial Invocation, Stench of Decay, Vacant Coffin, Decrepitaph, Krypts, Skeletal Spectre, Revolting, Scaremaker, Coffins, Acid Witch, Grave Desecrator, Catacumba…

Tersis: About these so called Brutal Death Metal nowadays, I like it but I don’t really love it. I’m more into bands that take that old Death Metal spirit. I also like many other metal genres, like Black, Thrash and NWOBHM.


13.Lets move into horror movies, whats your favourite ones in genre ?

André: Wohhh man, really too many names to mention!

14.In Brasil horror sector is already great. Especially some zombie flicks that recorded recently and the awesome classics of José Mojica Marins. Coffin Joe is one of the major horror character in world wide in my opinion. What do you think ?

André: Ohhh yeah, Coffin Joe (Zé do Caixão) is a live legend and we’re proud that he comes from Brazil. We absolutely loved all that he did and some classic productions as A MEIA NOITE LEVAREI SUA ALMA, ESTA NOITE ENCARNAREI NO TEU CADÁVER, O ESTRANHO MUNDO DE ZÉ DO CAIXÃO, O DESPERTAR DA BESTA – RITUAL DOS SÁDICOS and tons of more are really cult ones worldwide! Also try to know about other demented Brazilian cult directors as Ivan Cardoso, Petter Baiestorf, Rodrigo Aragão, Fernando Rick and Gurcius Gewdner!

15.Lucio Fulci is extraordinary and unique in the name of gore in worldwide scene, at the same time I think it’s the same about Death Metal too. What’s the best to name for about Fulci ?

Andre: Genious!

16.What’s your favourite horror movie directors?

André: Too many to mention!

Desecration (UK) interview

Here is the very very long waited interview from these Welsh old skool fuckerz...

Greetings Desecration !!

1. First of all thank you for the interview. how is it going ? whats news in Desecration ?
- You're very welcome! Things are goin well thanks, we've pretty much fininshed touring for this year, so we're now continuing writing for the next album.

2. Your last album is really great one again.How did you record it ?
- The usual way! Got all the drums down, triggered them before putting the guitar, bass and vocals down.

3. How about fans react? We loved it.
- Thankyou. The album seemed to go down very well I'm pleased to report!

4. Did you go to a studio? Did production cost a lot? Can you describe some of your recording techniques if possible? Is recording a difficult or easy process for you guys?
- Yes, we recorded it in Phillia Studios, Henley, UK with Nick Hemingway. I think the production cost a couple of thousand pounds. We don't find recording particularly difficult, as we are usually very well prepared!

5. Do you have stuff like new Split/Ep planned in the near future?
- We are currently writing material for a new album but it is very likely that we'll record a few tracks first and use those for an EP to be released before we go on the road again next year.

6. Can you describe your sound and music?
- We play old-school death metal, fast and riffy. We are very self-critical, we don't want to let anything but the best riffs and arrangements get on the recording. This is why it is often a couple of years between albums.

7. Which bands do you receive inspiration from?
- I guess we still draw inspiration from the bands/albums we used to listen to when we started the band. We listen to a lot of stuff, old, new and varied, but we don't intend changing our style to "fit in" with any new genre or anything, we just do what we do best!

8. Return to the early days of Desecration. How did you get started ?
- Ollie: I joined a bunch of guys who were playing cover versions of early death metal stuff and slayer and a few of their own songs. I am now the only original member.

9. Your debut album Gore and Perversion originally had been banned, and all the master tapes destroyed before it was released, due to the offensive artwork and lyrics contained on the album. What problems you had in 1995. How did you overcome it, can you tell us that period ?
- This all happened before I joined the band, but basically the album got seized and destroyed by the authorities, and the boys taken to court. Nothing came of this, so the band just continued to write and release albums, and tour as many countries as they could. The only difference was that the band toned down the obscenity a little to avoid similar trouble in the future.

10. Being a band of a banned album, how do you feel ?
- It's just one of those things really, it happens to some of us from time to time. It certainly gives us something to talk about, and to help imprint the name Desecration in people's heads. There's no such thing as bad publicity..

11. This goes solely for Ollie: Being a mortician and being a vocalist in a band at the same time should be really exciting, very few had this chance, and from your lyrics we can see you've always used it at its best. Can you tell us one of your extraordinary stuations as a mortician ?
- Ollie: Well most of it is same old same old, everyday gore, but unusual stuff is train and car crashes, or suicides with a shotgun etc

12. The Original version of debut album's cover is indeed one of the most sickening ones i've ever seen. Who had drawen it, and what were you thinking about it ?
- Ollie: we thought and knew it was the sickest thing at the time, it was drawn by a member of the band back then, i won't and can't give his name i'm afraid!

13. What's your favorite band? know any band from Turkey ?
- There are too many faves to name really, but one of my favourite all-time metal bands is probably Voivod, though Steel Panther are legendary in my book! Old Iron Maiden come very close too. As far as Death Metal goes, I guess it'd be Morbid Angel, Vader, Carcass and Death. In other genres, I like Jamiroquai, and The Police have to rate as one of my all-time favourite bands. And from Turkey, we know Cenotaph..

14. In your opinion death metal must be satanic ?
- Not at all. It's music at the end of the day, and I think as artists, bands can write about whatever they want. Grim subjects are more fitting for our style of music, but I don't think any artist should limit him/herself..

15. What do you think about us and europe death metal scene ?
- The European scene seems to be a lot more healthy than the UK. We love playing in Europe!

16. I know Desecration had always been one of the most prolific touring bands around. Does it ever prevent from writing new materials ? Do you ever think of coming to Turkey ?
- No, we are always writing material, sometimes this process is slow (like when we're touring) but there is always time to write! Playing Turkey has not really been in the front of our minds, but if the people want to see us there, and there are promoters who can help make this happen then we're all up for it!
I'm actually holidaying in Turkey in mid-September in the Gumbet area, so if there are any metal clubs near there, be sure to let me know, haha!

17. What are your favorite movies ?
- I am not a big film fan, but I do enjoy a good movie. Some of my favourites are Scum, Casino, Goodfellas, Ronin, Leon, the Saw series..

18. How about horror movies ?
- Ollie's more into horror than me, he says: "Cannibal and Zombie ones, plus real life gore films like traces of death as they are soooo grisly!"

19. What do you do in your free times?
- I play in a couple of other metal bands (not death metal), but when I'm not gigging I'm often playing my guitar and bass, and recording at home! I also enjoy going out to rock clubs and attending gigs, playing poker, spending time with my girlfriend (awwww!)

20. Do you want to say someting for turkish fans?
- Yes, "stay metal", and get onto your local promoters, and tell them you want to see Desecration playing in a club near you! ;)

Sodomy Torture Interview

1.First of all thank you for the interview. how is it going? whats news in Sodomy Torture?

Thanx you too. Actually we made some concerts and were working on another projects but soon we will meet again and restart to murder. With the remains of the rotten corpses of our victims we should bring a good surprise to the world...

2.Your First album Exterminamorgue.I think so this is very good starting.How about react?

The public reacts generally pretty good on our stuff. I think people need some violence nowadays.

3.Album relase to Snakebite prod.Are you happy with your label ?

Yes. The deal is right. He made a good job and worked really fast for ExterminaMorgue. We had some problems with another label who just talked to much and made nothing.

4.Have your any plan for split or compilation?

Yes but we don't talk about something 'til it isn't concrete and sure. The only thing I can say is that there will be a Split 7EP soon.

5.Your demo cover art better then album.Who did it ?

The demo was totally self made. The cover of ExterminaMorgue was made in just few hours by my tattooist.



6.Intros are very good.How do you choose them?

Thanx. Most of our intros come naturally. When we make some satanic rituals, SadoMaso murders or when we drink some beers with some bloodthirsty zombi-friends we just record our parties and then use it for some intros.

7.You played two cover songs.First Mortician,second Pungent Stench...what you think for Third?

Third will come soon on our next act. As I said we don't talk to much about unachieved projects but I can tell you it will be a tribute to the old gods of times when Death Metal was played in the pure extreme and disgusting way.

Sodomy Torture will always be grateful to those who made us what we are.

8.I know you from Mortician Tribute album. How did you take place to tribute album ?

Eventrator was contacted by the label who released the tribute. When we started Sodomy Torture, the idea was to play in the Mortician style. This band has always been a reference to us. So when we have been contacted by the label we just thought we should be on the right place on a tribute to Mortician.

9.What inspires your to make so sick music,some pot inspiration?

Personnaly I don't like drugs. Pot makes me sleepy and ill. I prefer alcohol.
A big part of our inspiration comes from Anaconda, another part from everyday life. You know when I come home after a hard day I like to sit back and drink some fresh blood in a baby's skull with a little bit vodka. Then I start to free my mind and think about life and his beauties. That inspires my lyrics.

10.Which bands do you receive inspiration from?

The inspiration for Sodomy Torture comes directly from bands like Mortician (of course), Pungent stench, Bolt Thrower, Nunslaughter, Grave, Repulsion, Master, Obituary, Asphyx, Abscess, Rotten Sound, Entombed, Ghoul, Exhumed, Impaled... and the list could be so much longer.

In fact all these bands, even if they are different, play Death Metal in the Great spirit of extreme music. The way it should be. Personnally I don't like what Death Metal became. The technical Brutal Death/Grind/Core scene doesn't interest me. To me there is no feeling in this music full of technic riffing and BlastBeats. See bands like Bolt Thrower, Obituary, Venom, Celtic Frost... there is no technic and no blastbeats but what an atmosphere and feeling. I prefer to listen to a good old Coroner or Sabbat(UK) when I need a more complex music.


11.How did you get start?

We are brothers in battle since many years. We all played in many bands. Anaconda and Eventrator started to rehearse together highly influenced by Mortician. At the beginning it was not such a serious prject. I ran away from a heavy metal band that made nothing serious and with a poser attitude. I needed something extreme to satisfy the dark side of me. So I called Eventrator.

The Murdering league was complete and the madness came true this dark and rainy night.


12.can you describe your sound and music?

Heavy, low, agressive, sick, brutal, insane and filthy.

13.What are your favourite bands and do you know some bands from Turkey?

To the second part of your question yes I sure have listened to bands from your country but at the time of this interview I can't remember one in particular.Maybe
your Pentagram.

The bands I love are so numerous in so different styles. It goes from Motörhead, Saxon, to many others like Nunslaughter,Nocturnal Graves, Twisted sister, Judas Priest, Altar, Officium Triste, Master, Sodom, Venom, Hellhammer, Repugnant, Alice Cooper, The Exploited, böhse Onkelz, Lacrimosa, Poison, Church Bizarre... and so many more

14.We love horror movies too.I wrote too many horror movies in review in Extreme
Haribo.What's u favorite horror movie?

To me I love Freddy. I also like more recent films like 28 days after that is a new vision of the zombi but my total cult in gore will always stay ... Braindead !!!!!!

15.Which horror type your favorite?

Gore but funny.


16.What do you think about download?

It can be a good solution to discover music. I don't mind if someone downloads my music and, if he like,s orders the original piece. But what I HATE is people just having music on MP3. MP3 is NOT music. You know when I was a kid I copied some tapes from other tapes or Vinyl and listened to them 'til I had enough money to buy the original. To me having music in a computer is not the same as having a original CD, tape or vinyl in your hands. Music is not only for your ears. An album has to be apreciated with all your senses. Touch a vinyl, smell the booklet, the ink....See how beautiful some vinyl are from Hell's HeadBangers Records or Proselytism...



17.what do you do in your free times?

Ride my bike and care of my reptiles. Sometimes I also like to torture beautiful
women and rape treir cadavers...

Utopium Interview

1.First of all thank you for the interview. how is it going? whats news in Utopium ?

Thank you for the interest and support, we really appreciate it. We are currently getting ready to start recording our album in the next month.

2.Your first EP Conceptive Prescience was promising for future.I like it. How did fans react to Conceptive Prescience ?

So far, so good. The EP had some flaws and was our first studio experience so there are some things we now think we could have done better. But overall, people are getting into our music and so far we haven’t seen a bad review (there aren’t that many around to be honest). Not that we care much, but it feels good when your work gets recognized. Even if we get a bad review, at least we are getting a reaction out of someone, doesn’t matter if it’s love or hate.

3.Any live shows for Utopium ?

Couple of gigs here and there. Now we’re entering studio so we will take a small break from gigs. But we hope to get our asses on a stage soon after the album comes out. We love to play live and people feel that on our shows.

4.Have you any materiel for new record ?

Sure. We never had problems writing songs. Some times we even have to stop writing because we start getting too many songs and then we don’t know were to put them hehehe.


5.You are a grindcore band but useing sluge riff.This is so cool.How did you find this idea ?

We started this band as a grindcore band, but as we all like other types of music, we thought we could make our own style of grind by mixing other stuff we like and felt like it would fit. That’s why you can hear Crust riffs, Sludge riffs, Thrash and Death Metal riffs on our songs. We play the music we love the most and we are our first fans.

6.How did you get started to grind ?

Hummm, we all started with different bands… I guess Napalm Death is the main one. Personally the one that really turned me into this music was “Murderworks” from Rotten Sound.

7.Can you describe your sound and music ?

I like to call it “Grind”. We always thought that genres should only serve as guidelines and not as an adjective to define a band. We make extreme music, from fast to slow, from old to new.

8.I think so your lyric about society, life and political. What are you talking about in your lyric ?

Well mostly is stuff that only Rizzo knows and we have a hard time to understand what he means. He likes to mess with our heads and to make us think. His message is always hidden in the words and if you don’t pay attention you won’t get them.
He wanted to avoid the general grind topics (gore and politics) and make his own lyrical concept. It’s all open to multiple interpretations.


9.You played into Nasum Tribute album. Very nice cover. How did you take place to tribute album ?

At that time Power-it-up was looking for bands to participate and we suggested that cover for us. It was cool for us since Nasum is an influence for us, and after Mieszko departed, we where happy to have an opportunity to pay him our tribute.


10.What's your favorite band? know any band from Turkey?

Hard to say, we like so many kinds of music, so many bands, so many albums… From Turkey I know Sakatat.

11.What is your favorite movies and books?

We like all sort of stuff. From recent Blockbusters to B-grade old movies. Maybe we have a special love for post-apoc movies.
I don’t read much. Last thing I read was “Metamorphosis” by Kafka.

12.How is the day-by-day of the band´s members? What do you do for get money? Is it hard to live or survive in Portugal ?
Some of us study and some of us work. I think it’s hard anywhere nowadays… You just have to manage a way to get by.


13. How did you record it all? Did you go to a studio? Did production cost a lot? Can you describe some of your recording techniques if possible? Is recording a difficult or easy process for you guys?

We recorded it all on our garage where we do our rehearsals. Drums and bass were recorded in one day (we should have taken more time with the drums but we didn’t) then guitars in another and voice next. Then our friend and soundguy Neto (from Replica), took care of the mastering and the rest of the stuff. Later we re-recorded the guitar with a little more punch because we weren’t really happy with the first takes. We don’t use any special techniques. Just record like we can with our means.

14.What do you think about europe death-grind?

There are good bands and there are not-so-good bands. I think the best are those who try to come up with their own sound. Not to disregard some old bands that worked hard and still do. But the scene has grown so much you have to make something different to get noticed and from that comes value.

I think Sweden rules hehehe. I haven’t discovered a band from Sweden that I don’t like… It’s funny how the US keeps copying European bands, especially from Sweden.


15.Do you think to play more cover?

Yeah. There are so many ideas for covers that we didn’t advance with any yet hehehe

16.What do you think about download?

I download a lot of music and if I can I buy the CDs but I believe it’s more rewarding (monetarily speaking) for the bands if you buy a shirt and go to the gigs. At least I rather support them that way.

17.What do you do in your free times?

Drink beer mostly hehehe.

Funeral Rape Interview

1.First of all thank you for the interview. how is it going? whats news in Funeral Rape?

LF:Hi! The news are not good news... Assmasher, the other founding member of Funeral Rape, leaves the band two weeks ago. Now we're in search of a new bassist... Concerning the new album, I listen that a lot of people like it, and I'm very glad of that.


2.Your last album is really great one.How did you record it ?

LF: We record it in a few month during spring of 2009 at Brainstorm Studio, near Monza. We dedicate more importance to the drums recording and to the sound that, in my opinion, results more aggressive and more gloomy towards the other albums.
Moreover, with the coming of Madcock in 2008, we have added more brutality to the songs riffing.

3.How about fans react?We fucked it.

LF: By now, a lot of fans say that this new album is the great one, and I appreciate they like our work.

4.Any live shows for funeral rape?

LF: We will have a live show on the 29th of March, with other italian grind band near Bologna. That will be the last show with Assmasher. After that, he will leave the band cause too many difference about musical choice.

5.You album cover is so sexual.Fuck in coffin SO lustly...Who did it?

LF: The album cover of Porn Afterlife is made by our friend and great singer Jack Off of italian band 2 Minuta Dreka. Did you know them?

6.How did you record it all? Did you go to a studio? Did production cost a lot? Can you describe some of your recording techniques if possible? Is recording a difficult or easy process for you guys?

LF: The production total cost about sounds takes approximately 500 euro. The production of Cds and cover is made by Will Rahmer and I don't know how much does he spent.
About recording techniques, I can only say that we work recording on separate tracks, first the drums, then the bass and guitar (on 2 lines) and then the 2 voices. After that we spent usually 2 day in studio to mix all. It's not an hard process, usually the worst day is for recording drums.. it need more precision!

7.Do you have stuff like new Split Ep's planned in the near future?

LF: No, but we will be glad if some band with serious intentiont would like to make a split with us. In the past, someone make us spending a lot of money for splits Ep never realized. Now we want to work only with serious people and not with rip-off.

8.Can you describe your sound and music?

LF: It's difficoult for me to find the words to describe our sound. I think it's like the soundtrack of an orgy with whores, horses and famous pornstars.

9.which bands do you receive inspiration from?

LF: We're influenced by various bands, so you can find in our music different reference. We usually receive inspiration from bands like Mortician, CBT, Anal Cunt, The Berzerker, Macabre, Brujeria

10.You are working with redrum record.This is Fantastic.How did you contact with Will or Roger?

LF:We're in contact with Will Rahmer and we work with him since 2004, with “A Chainsaw in the Cunt”. He is a great supporter of underground music as well as a very loyal and honest person.


11.Return to the early days of FUneral rape.How did you get started?

LF: In 2003 we were just three guys with a great passion for porn and grind, watching a lot of harcore movies since to decide to create an irriverent and shocking band. Now 2 of the founding member are gone, but the spirit of Funeral Rape are the same.

12.What's your favorite band? know any band from Turkey?

LF: It's impossible to mention only a single band. I like very much Mortician, Macabre and CBT, but also Death, Deicide and Obituary


13.Your lyrics contains mostly about gore and sick and in your opinion death metal must be satanic?

LF:Our lyrics talk about rape, gore, orgy and all of more pervert world can give us. I don't believe, I'm a true atheist. When we'll die, we'll go to nowhere. I don't believe in god rather than satan, so I don't like the religions at all. Every reference to religion in our lyrics, are only to fuck around the believers.

14.What do you think about usa and europe death-grind?

LF: I think that in both scenes there are great band, but i prefer the european scene.

15.What is your favorite movies?

LF:Very difficoult question. I'm a horror movie and zeta-movie collector since a was a little kid. I have thousands of movie in my house. I like all the Carpenter's movies, Texas Chainsaw, Cronenberg's movies, Romero's movies, movies with Lorenzo Lamas, movies with Steven Seagal, movies with zombies, the Saw saga, the Phantasm saga, Violent Shit saga, German ultra gore and many others, i can't list all. 16.What is your favorite porn actress?

LF: Very difficoult too. I like Kobe Tai, Sasha Grey, Eva Thurman, Sandy Sweet, Sophie Moone, Kelsey Michaels, Leah Luv... and many others.

LF: I love Joe D'Amato. My favourite movie is “Antrophogous”, and “Rosso Sangue”. I'd like very much the Emanuelle saga.

LF: I think I could be an amatorial gore movies director. Short films are my passion, and in the future I will make my own splatter movie!

1.First of all thank you for the interview. how is it going? whats news in inzest?

maggo: hello!! i´m doing good, thx! so, we have to say welcome to our new second guitarist stefan!

he´s doing a realy good job and we a glad to work with him in future.

finally our original blastmachine returnet after a short break, so lets start playing brutal musick again!! ha ha ha...

2.Your last album was great.How did fans reacted?

maggo: thank you very much!! we are proud about that album because it was fukking much work!we get a lot of great reactions from our fans and on every concert the people going crazy!!

it´s really cool that people like to see the austrian deathmetal tank rollin! :-)

3.Did you begin working on a new album?

maggo: we´re working on two new albums, in the next days we start to record a "re-mix album" of old songs like fear factory has donebut with more balls of brutal metal inside ha ha ha...

we will use more industrial sounds on this re-mix cd but no pure techno shit,we keep the brutal style but we try to give the old songs some more extremely noise feeling!
be patient, you will hear it soon!!

at the same time we are writing new songs for our "really" new album. we start to record a pre production of the new songs and we try to finished it till the begining of 2011 and i hope the the re-mix album will be released in autum 2010.


4.Any live shows?

maggo: we only play some singel shows at this time because we we want to finished the two new albums! after that we will be back on the road and we will go on tour in 2011.

5.How did you record your album?

maggo: we record the "grotesque new world" album in the volcano studio in austria (tirol) and thze mix and mastering was at the stage one studio of andy classen (belphegor, disbelif, legion of the dammed....) it was a amazing time to work with some realy professionell guys!!

the new album will be recordes in the mirror studio of our new guitarist stafan and for mix and mastering we will see.... maby we´ll going again to andy classen.


6.return to the early days of inzest.How did you get started?

maggo: we start in 2004, at this time no one knows anything about deathcore and the hype we got today.

we gave the name to our style because we try to mix brutal deathmetal with some oldschool hardcore influences.

at this time i do not know anything about bands like dipised icon or something.

7.Your name really SİCK:D lol How did u find ?

maggo: it was much time before the hole "fritzl" story shocked the world, i´m sure you heard about this freak!? it´s easy, we all live in tirol and there are a some small villages like "trins" and "axams" and so on ha ha ha.... and there live so many freaking inzest people so we called our band like the hobbys of the people who live there :-D only joking!!

we search for a name who everybody can remind if they heard it the first time and we want a provoking name to show the people "he, this shit really happens"

we are totaly against this hole child abused bullshit!!!

8..which bands do you receive inspiration from?

maggo: for me it´s bands like "pantera" or some oldschool hardcore bands like "blood for blood" but also modern bands like "fear factory" it´s diffrent.

9.can you describe your sound and music?

maggo: i woukd say a mix of bruatl deathmetal and extreme hardcore music. but we try to sound not like the hole american deathcore bands. we do our own original austrian deathcore thing :-)


10.Which songs you enjoy most on stage?

maggo: it´s "skinstripped" i think it´s one of the best songs we´ve written till now. you can watch our video on youtube. enjoy it!!!

11.What's your favorite band?know any band from turkey?

one of the best and extreme live performents i´ve ever seen was hatebreed. it was so fukking brutal and the moshpit was amazing.

yes i know some bands from turkey:

the old hardcore band "radical noise" and "uck grind" i have played with the guys of "uck grind" last year in istanbul with my other band "mastic scum" it was so amazing to play in istanbul and the people going totaly crazy.

i hope to come back to istanbul the next time with inzest!!! by the way: serefeeeeee!!!! to tanju from "uck grind"!!!


12.Are u affected any thrash metal bands?

maggo: i dont listen do much thrash bands but i like bands like hatesphere.

13.in your opinion,any future about deathcore?

maggo: i think this hype will go as fast as it came. dont get me wrong, i like bands like dispised icon or bring me the horizon but im getting sick about band whos doing thrash metal today and tomorow they play deathcore because everyone listen to it and it´s the hype in that moment. stay true to your self and do your own thing!!

14.in your opinion death metal must be satanic?

maggo: i like satanic deathmetal bands but i dont think that death metal must be satanic. there so much great deathmetal band who dont use satanic images.




15.what's your favorite movies?

maggo: the one and only: "guest house paradiso"!!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha... go and watch this film!!!!

16.Do you like to eat Haribo?

maggo: yeah, but only the evil black ones!! :-P

Gore Obsessed Interview

1.Hi Justin!!!First thanks for interview.how is it going?What's news in Gore Obsessed?

Hey!

I took part in a 5-way split which was released in Feb 2010 through Sevared Records.
I'm currently recording new songs for a 2nd Split album as well as songs for a new download EP.


2.Your last EP Satanic Ritual is good.I think this Ep better than your others demos.How did you get that reaction about Satanic Ritual?

As long as the albums keep getting better and people like them I'm happy. The reaction has been positive.


3.Are all your records self-released?2.How did you record your last Ep and Where did you record ?

Yeah, so far besides a 5-way split I took part in all Gore Obsessed records have been self-released and available for download.

I'm looking into releasing a very limited compilation CD-R (with pro printed covers) of all Gore Obsessed tracks recorded so far (including the stuff I'm working on now)

The last EP was recorded in my own small recording studio and mix & mastered by me with my limited skills.

I like the idea of Gore Obsessed being a real one-man project (including me recording and mixing the songs)


4.Your cover artworks are Horroflix.Who's the the artist doing them?

I do all cover work myself. I stick a horror poster into photoshop or illustrator and mess it up until I'm happy, that becomes the cover art.


5.Gore Obsessed just one man project.Are In composition and records time difficult ?

Yes finding time can be difficult, but whenever I have some free time I try write new tracks. I actually have quite a few songs in various stages, some still have to be recorded, others need lyrics, some are recorded but not mixed etc..


6.What inspires your to make so sick music,some pot inspiration?

An unholy mixture of listening to way to much Impetigo and Nunslaughter and watching way to many bad Horror movies :)


7.You played two cover songs Boneyard from Impetigo and Judas Priest-Breaking the Law.Do you think more cover song ?

I'll defiantly record a few more covers, so far I plan on covering songs from Nunslaughter, Blood Duster and Mortician.


8.How did you get start?

It all started with a need to make brutal noise and call it "music". With Impetigo's 'Horror of the Zombie' as my spiritual guide and my guitar I started this journey :)
But seriously, I started messing around with recording software and some musical ideas (I was never great at playing cover songs so I thought fuck it I'll write my own).
Gore Obsessed is the first and only band I've played in and I doubt that is going to change in the future.


9.can you describe your sound and music?

I think the best way I can describe the sound is DIY Grinding Death Metal. Or B-Grade Goregrind inspired by B-Grade Horror haha.

It's Far from technical or polished and defiantly not Modern, I'm not trying to re-create any particular sound but rather play whatever comes out of my Gore Obsessed mind.


10.What are your favourite bands?

Impetigo is my favourite Death band but I'd say Iron Maiden are my all-time favourite band. A few other favourites would be;

Haemorrhage, NunSlaughter, Obituary, Extreme Noise Terror, Misery Index, Dead, Death, Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, Jungle Rot, Rompeprop, Dead Infection, Judas Priest, Altar of Giallo, Blood freak, Machetazo, Gruesome Stuff Relish, Venom...I could goon for ever :)




11.what do you think about usa and europe death-grind?

There are some great bands out there and thanks to myspace it's become easier to find a lot of lesser known bands (like myself). A lot good stuff coming out of both US and Europe, as long as it's not melodic or have that annoying Gothenburg sound. The UK death scene has some awesome newer bands (Amputated, Infected Disarray, Pork Farm, Fleshrot, Putrefy and a few others) but I really dislike bands like 'Trigger the Bloodshed' and 'Annotations of an Autopsy' both in attitude and music. And not forgetting Asia or South America which have some intense Grind and Death bands (Bathtub Shitter, Butcher ABC, Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation (man those girls can GRIND!), I can't get enough of Abysmal Torment from Malta latest cd). But for some strange reason a lot of bands I'm into come from Spain.
The Obscene Extreme fest in the Czech Republic is a great fest to check out unknown or establish grind bands.


12.do you know any band from turkey?

The Turkish legends Cenotaph!

I absolutely Love Decaying Purity's album 'Phases of Dimensional Torture', can't wait to hear more from them.

Brutalcore (great Zombie Ritual cover) and a few others I've heard; Consume, Carnophage (awesome cd!), UCK Grind, Death Oath, Despised (pity they split). If there are any other cool Turkish Death/Grind let me know!


13.Which bands do you receive inspiration from?

Impetigo, NunSlaughter and Haemorrhage (of course bits of Napalm Death, Brutal Truth & Jungle Rot have inspired me).


14.Your lyric about cannibalsm,satanic and horroflix... Do you receive inspiration by only horror movies or some sick vision either both of them?

I'd say a bit of both. The lyrics are short tales of horror, gore and murder either directly inspired by a movies, my interpretation of a movie or my story (seen as I don't have interest in writing a book or trying to make a film I bring the ideas to life through music).


15.You choose very brutal intros.When you choosing your intors,How do you choose them?

I have a note pad so whenever I hear a cool brutal line in a movie I can make a note of it to record later. I normally try use a movie sample that fits with the lyrics of the song (or a sample from the movie that has inspired the song).


16.We love horror movies too.I wrote too many horror movies in review in Extreme Haribo.What's u favorite horror movie?

This is a hard one to answer. Just like with favourite bands my list is a never ending one. I'd say my absolute favourites would be:

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original), Dawn of the Dead (original), Cannibal Holocaust, Cannibal Ferox, Eaten Alive, Zombi 2 (Zombie Flesh Eaters), Toxic Avenger, Shaun of the Dead, Evil Dead, Re-animator, Dead Beat at Dawn, Ilsa: She-wolf of the SS...the list goes on. I also love Italian Giallo films.


17.What you think about new horror movies?

To me most new horror movies lack the heart and feel of the classics. Newer Horror no longer really pushes our accepted comfort zone, sure there is some extreme gore but that's all it is.
It seems to be more about how they can show someone being killed than why (nothing wrong with buckets of gore but with films like SAW it's the only thing they have). Some of the 'Good' moral ideas in the new films is actually scarier than the film and you're left wondering what was the film maker thinking rather than being impressed by the film. Of course there's been some real good ones (Switchblade Romance, Shaun of the Dead, Wolf Creek, Devil's Rejects, Storm Warning, REC and a lot of really low budget zombie films come to mind)


18.Christopher Lee or Bela lugosi which is your Best Vampire?

As great as Lugosi was I have to go with Christopher Lee (he is one of my favourite actors and I'm a big Hammer Horror fan) his portrayal of Dracula is brilliant.


19.Do you like 50's horro movies? Gill man, blob or 50 feet gaint women etc...

The 50's had some of the best creature films (I'm not a big CGI fan, I prefer puppets and stop animation especially Ray Harryhausen films). The late 50's also saw the release of some great Hammer Horror films (as mentioned I'm a fan).



20.What's your favorite zombie movies?

Fulci's zombie films of course and the original Romero zombie movies (the only remake I liked was Tom Savini's 1990 remake of 'Night of the Living Dead'). I also enjoy the comedy side of 'Children Shouldn't play with Dead things' and 'Shaun of the Dead'. And out of the countless B-grade zombie movies there has been some real good ones and some that are so bad you can't help like them.

21.Too many cannibalsm movies in horror scene.Cannibal Holocaust,Antropophagus etc. What's opinion about them?

I LOVE cannibal movies (especially the old Italian ones set in the jungle). Cannibal Holocaust is one of my all time favourite movies, unfortunately some are utter rubbish though, Cannibal Holocaust 2 and Cannibal Ferox 2 both come to mind, they have no real cannibalism or the original feel left. The originals pushed the boundries of morality and what was accaptable.


22.What's your favorite horror movies director ?

Lucio Fulci and Dario Argento


23.What do you think about download?

I can understand why some people are against it but at the same time you have to see the positive. Not only has it been a great way for me to promote and let people list to my music but it's also helped me discover a lot of awesome bands (If I see a cd I'm interested in but haven't heard of the band, I'll first check out some of their songs online before buying the album, or if I heard some songs which I like I'll then order the cd). I still prefer owning a physical copy of the music (I'll rather pay for a cd than pay for an online download). It'll be a real sad day for me when vinyl or CDs are no longer produced.


24.what do you do in your free times?

Besides watching way to many horror movies and trying to finish off songs, I try attend a few concerts. I also attend as many music collector fairs as possible to get my hands on Death/Grind albums and go to a great Horror convention in Germany twice a year. Besides that, the usual boring things.


25.Do you like to eat haribo?

Of course! who doesn't ;)

Bonesaw Interview

-First of all thank you for the interview. how is it going? whats news in Bonesaw?

----Hey man, thanks for the support and no sweat on the interview! Not much news really.. just writing new shit which i'll expand on later.

-Your last album sawtopsy was great.How did fans react?

--- Thanks, glad you liked it. We haven't had much in the way of reviews returned to us yet for SAWTOPSY. But whoever has a copy and has bothered to get n touch.. seem to like it! Which is awesome.


-Any live shows for Bonesaw?

---- We just have a few local shows planned at the moment. We are also in talks about getting us & our sister band Ablach (w/Andy, Bazz & Calum from Bonesaw) over to Finland for 3-4 shows.


-the early days of Bonesaw.How did you get started?

---- It was the turn of the Millenium.. Jan 2000 (or there abouts) that Andy Geraghty (vocals) and myself (Bazz, now bass but initially drums for 2 rehearsals haha) got talking about how shit the Death Metal scene had gone.
Internatonally was bad enough but locally we had nothing. So decided to get something on the go, we were shortly after joined by Sid (Ex-Korpse, now guitars but initialy drums). Since then we have got through some 6 guitaists
finally settling on Paul Gaunt and having Sid moved from drums to guitar (his true calling). We are also on our 4th drummer (if you include Sid) in Calum. So getting any momentum in the band, until fairly recently, has been very difficult.
Which is why it has taken us some 10years to finally record an LP.


-Can you describe your sound and music?

----- Old School Raw Death Metal, in the veins of Autopsy, Repulsion, Possessed etc

-What's your favorite band? know any band from Turkey?

---- That's a tough question. I listen to all sorts of music and not all extreme styles either.. but in the context of inspiration for Bonesaw. It has to be Autopsy. Turkish bands.. we did a trade with UCK Grind.. otherwise i don't know any.
Feel free to recomend some!

-How is the day-by-day of the band´s members? What do you do for get money? Is it hard to live or survive in scotland?

---- Aberdeen is fairly fortunate to be the "Oil Capital" so work is easier to come by here than in other places around Scotland. I do various delivery type jobs, Sid works for the studio we rehearse/record in. Paul works in Healthy Care.
Andy works for the local council & Calum sells DIY goods.. haha a nice variety of shit jobs.


-How did you record it all? Did you go to a studio? Did production cost a lot? Can you describe some of your recording techniques if possible? Is recording a difficult or easy process for you guys?

---- It was al recorded at Captain Toms Recording Studio here in Aberdeen. Which is where Sid works. Our process is fairly simple with the songs already having been musically written for a while before we record them. Everything is done
live, then we overdub solos & vocals. The whole process of fnishing the LP took a few months because of various holdups (waiting for backing vocal tracks etc). But the bulk of it was done very quickly.


-Do you have stuff like new Split Ep's planned in the near future? What's coming next for Bonesaw?

---- We are just finishing off 2 new tracks. One to be featured on a split 7" w/Lobotomized and the other a 30sec freak of a song. To be put out on the next Mortville Records Compilation. After that will probably be a split with Haemophagus (Italy),then i dunno.. possible a second LP for 2011.


-What do you think about usa and europe death-grind?

---- uhmmm i don't think about it at all.. haha


-What is your favorite horror movies?

---- Evil Dead, Hellraiser, Saw I, Zombie Flesheaters.. shit.. anything that is good! haha


-in your opinion death metal must be satanic?

---- in MY opinion the lyrical topics in Death Metal are cliched to fuck. It's all been done to death and nothing is shocking anymore.. Satan worship being the worst of the bunch. This is only an opinion of course. haha

-What inspires your to make so sick music,some pot inspiration?

---- The continued endorsement of shite bands in the Metal press inspires us to be as ugly as we can. The overt technical twiddlings and excessive levels of computer trickery... FUCK OFF!! Yeah weed helps too haha


-Do you think to play any cover?

---- We have played loads of cover versions. Just live never recorded. The list includes: Winter - Servants of the Warsmen, Abscess - Mow you down, Celtic Frost - Procreation (of the wicked), Judas Priest - Breaking the Law,
Benediction - Artifcated Irreligion & Autopsy - In the Grip of Winter.


-does your record label interfere your album or your sound?

---- not a all. it's left to our on devices.


- How did you contact with Chris Reifert ?

---- Mainly through Sid being friends with him for years. Korpse contacted them via the PO BOX on address Severed Survival.. which Chris still uses. haha But i had been in contact with him via email for a year or so prior to our split.
It was me who was cheeky enough to ask the question! haha


- Debut LP has the art dedicated to Reifert. How does it feel to get supported by him ?

---- Yeah, Chris Reifert is the artist responsible for producing the cover art. It's sick as fuck.. he also did the Abscess split cover art. It's the most awesome feeling ever. To have you main peer & influence completely endorsing the noise you produce.

The fact he's such a mellow dude is totally humbling too.


- Debut split with Abscess followed by Bone Gnawer. How did you get in touch with them ? You play high hehe

---- I posted a comment on Kam Lee's myspace page saying our split with Abscess was out. He clearly read it and checked us out. Liked the idea of a clashing of the Bones' and so asked us if we'd do a split... who says no to Kam Lee? haha


- You know, wait a minute there is a great horror movie called “the wicker man” (1973) that takes place in a scot island, have you watched ? If yes, how do you criticise.

---- I watched it many years ago.. i can't remember a whole lot about it now. Sorry.


- Your lyrics contains mostly about gore. How do you get inspired about cannibalism ?

---- our lyrics are words we fit into the music. We often sit down together and listen to a recording of the track and figure out how the vocals should sound over the top and fit words around that. sometimes we have a topic in which to
"bear in mind" but more often than not the topic is realised once a few lines have been written. It's an odd process.. but it works for us.

Morbider Interview

1.First of all thank you for the interview. how is it going? What’s news in Morbider?

Thank you too. Well, I’m alright, life’s ups and downs, you know. Morbider is just half way through recording of new material which should be released on the split album together with two other bands by Dybbuck records.
2.Where did you record ?

At a place called Studio 13. Well, it’s not really a studio. It’s actually a room at my place where I have some equipment and where we are recording. The production is also my responsibility, so hopefully it will be worth it.
3.Your cover artwork is great. Who's the artist doing them?

The Front cover is picture from some old comics I think. And the design of the rest of the CD is a work of artist called Eduardo M. But speaking of graphic, my thanks go to guys from DB records, they’re doing great job.

4.Which bands do you receive inspiration from?
As you can hear that's mostly Old School Death Metal from Sweden. Bands like Entombed, Dismember, Grave, Edge of Sanity etc. Of course, there’s also a huge influence from death metal scene and bands like Death, Slayer, Obituary, Gorefest...

5. How was When Darkness Returns reacted? We, hariboeaters, loved it

Thank you. Well, feedback and reactions have been pretty positive so far. I think it’s too soon to make any conclusions though.


6.What do you do in your free times?

You know, I’m really busy working and what’s more, I go to school. But I’m trying to listen to the new music as much as possible, do my own music and from time to time I find a minute to watch a good movie..so that’s pretty it.

7.Return to the early days of Morbider. How did you get started?

I and one friend of mine, we were just trying to play some instruments and create something that resembled music in some way. And about Morbider, we recorded our first demo in 1992 and that’s when it all started.

8.You were formed in 1992, weren’t you? But u released your first album in 2009. Why?

Well, Morbider was just one man project for most of its existence, when I felt like recording something, I did so but more or less for my private use. The situation changed when I bought some recording equipment around 2007 and made two demos with my friends that you can hear on the album.


9. What are your favourite bands?

It’s definitely Dismember, Entombed Grave etc.


10. What do you think about new " death-core " bands ?

When it comes to the instrumental side, they’re excellent but to be honest, I’m not really into it.

11. Then what do you think about new style experimental / neo classic technical etc death metal bands also their live performances ?

Honestly, I can’t think of any at the moment and it’s been quite a while since I was at a concert last time..so sorry.

12. So we like so much old school Swedish death metals for example Grave, Dismember etc, so what ur favorits?

Yep, Dismember rules! And from the recent bands, it’s Interment, Facebreaker or Demonical.

13. Do you know any Turkish bands ?

Ominous grief, Cenotaph, Hecatomb, Moribund Oblivion... But I am not an expert at Turkish metal scene.

14. If there was an organisation in Turkey, would you come and play?

Well, as Morbider have never played live and at the moment it’s one man project again, my answer would probably be no.

15. Whose idea was Dissection cover?

I just wanted to do a cover of some old Swedish band and I like Dissection..so that's it.
